Keywords: problem posing, learning achievement.

Based on the observation and interview done by the researcher in SMP Roudlotul Aqo’idi Bangil, the teachers still using give questioning and assignment, in fact, the instruction had not reached the expected result yet and the studens still got some difficulties in understanding it. These difficulties affected students’ achievement. Thus, in teaching and learning process it is very important to choice of the suitable method. one of the methods is taught using problem posing approach.


 

This study is intended to find out whether there is a significance differences in students’ achievement between the students taught using problem posing approach and ekspositori  approach. By using problem posing approach on the learning activities, the students can think critically, develop their skills and creativities, and be more active in throwing their arguments.


This study in quantitative with quasi experimental research desing. The material used in this study is function. The subject of the study were the students of grade VIII of SMP Roudlotul Aqo’idi Bangil. The data of the students’ learning achievement was obtained from the test.

Based on the result of the researcher, it can be conclude that the students achievement taught using problem posing approach were higher than ekspositori  approach. The researcher suggested that problem posing approach can be used as alternative in teaching mathematics especially in SMP Roudlotul Aqo’idi Bangil. For the other researcher, who want to apply this approach, it is suggested to conduct study with other materials or classroom action research.

SMP Roudlotul Aqoidi Bangil terletak di sebelah timur alun-alun Kota Bangil lebih kurang setengah kilometer. Dari SMP Negeri I Bangil  (SMPN 1 Bangil) ke arah timur lebih kurang 1 KM.  Dari SMP Negeri 2 Bangil (SMPN 2 Bangil) ke arah Selatan lebih kurang 3 KM. Dari SMP Negeri 3 Bangil (SMPN 3 Bangil) ke arah Barat lebih kurang setengah kilometer.

ABSTRAK

Di Indonesia khususnya Kabupaten Pasuruan Propinsi Jawa Timur Lesson Study (LS) diperkenalkan oleh para expert JICA dalam rangkaian kegiatan follo-up program IMSTEP pada tahun 2004. dengan mitra: Dinas P dan K Kab. Pasuruan Jl. Wahidin Sudirohusodo 59A Pasuruan Telp. 0343-432194. LS dilaksanakan sejak tahun 2006, kepada para guru MIPA dan Matematika di 127 SMPN/S dan MTsN/S. Para guru bernaung di bawah MGMP, terbagi ke dalam 8 wilayah. Lesson Study di Pasuruan menggunakan daur studi pembelajaran terorientasi pada praktek. Kegiatannya terdiri atas:

1). Perencanaan (Plan), meliputi penggalian akademis; perencanaan pembelajaran; persiapan alat-alat.
2). Pelaksanaan (Do) meliputi: pelaksanaan pembelajaran; pengamatan oleh teman sejawat.
3). Melihat (See) meliputi Refleksi dengan rekan dan komentar dan diskusi.
